Originally from the south shore of Montreal, Dr Alex Terreros graduated from the University of
Montreal Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. He then completed a rotating internship at the same
institution in 2015, as well as a surgical internship at CENTREDMVET in 2016.
After a year in general practice, he moved to the United States to begin a residency in veterinary
surgery. He completed his residency program at the Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital, a private referral
hospital in the Cleveland, Ohio area. He returns to Montreal excited to be close to his family and friends, and
enthusiastic about being able to use the advanced training he acquired abroad to benefit the pets in Quebec.
Dr Alex Terreros possesses the expertise required to perform orthopedics, neurosurgery, and soft tissue
surgery. Additionally, having trained in a facility where minimally invasive surgery techniques were used
regularly, he is able to offer various minimally invasive options to his patients to provide them with a more
rapid and comfortable recovery. During his residency, he participated in numerous research projects and
published scientific articles in both major veterinary surgery journals as a first author. In his spare time, he
enjoys sports (soccer, hockey, boxing) and has recently discovered an interest in hiking.
